Jennifer is an excellent musician and educator. She is demanding while uplifting and supportive. Every lesson is fun, even when I feel like I’m struggling. Take lessons from her and you will improve tremendously, find new confidence and have a lot of fun!

My daughter has taken music lessons from Jennifer Bustin for the past 20 years.She offers a comprehensive curriculum which covers technical work, music theory andperformance pieces. An accomplished violinist herself, Jennifer is enthusiastic whenteaching all abilities from beginners to advanced students. She also insures thatall of her students are aware of music opportunities that may be of interest or helpfurther her student’s ability such as festivals, formal exams and orchestras. Throughoutmany years of lessons, Jennifer as been reliable, organized and professional.I believe that learning to play the violin technically correct is so important. Jenniferensures that her students receive all that’s necessary to became everything that theywould aspire to be as a violinist. She is my daughter’s mentor both with violin and otherwise,as her kindness and encouraging personality is lovely.

I started taking violin lessons from Jennifer in 2019 as an adult student. Her playing is rich and powerful; her teaching style is both encouraging and methodical; she is also a very friendly and kind person.After I moved away from Edmonton in 2020, we switched to online lessons. I thoroughly enjoyed our in person lessons as well as online lessons.She has taught me many effective techniques to help me improve. I am glad to have found Jennifer as my violin teacher.

I feel so fortunate to have Jennifer as my violin instructor! I have been taking music lessons from her for the last 4 years and she's definitely the best music teacher that I've ever had. She's very patient, encouraging, and has taught me so much about playing, practicing and music theory. As well, she's an incredible violinist and I can't believe sometimes that she's actually my music teacher.

We love having our music lessons with Ken and Jen. They are encouraging, approachable and highly skilled musicians that make each lesson tailored to our interests and abilities. Our understanding of our instruments and musical pieces have deepened because of their unique approach to teaching and engaging with their students. I started violin lessons with Jennifer one year ago as a complete beginner and I could not have hoped for a better teacher. Jennifer's teaching style encourages the development of musicality and musicianship while ensuring a solid foundation of technique. I am so happy with the progress I have made this year and I know I owe much of it to her. Due to recent events, we have switched to online lessons and they have been very effective and continue to be a rewarding experience.
